***Christiane Zschommler***

I am drawn to and influenced by the constantly changing patterns and visual effects of water and its surroundings. Working traditionally in medium format on photographic film I focus on colour, texture and abstraction. Like water, the images have a depth, which lies beyond the surface and imbues the work with a sense of mystery that draws the viewer in. The water has a resonance with memory. Pictures coming into focus and fading away overlapping and disappearing.
